This information pack is designed to give you all the details you need about eyeliner tattooing—how it works, what to expect, and the best way to care for your new look. Our goal is to create subtle, natural, and long-lasting eyeliner that enhances your eyes while aging gracefully over time.
What is Eyeliner Tattooing?
Eyeliner tattooing is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that applies pigment along the lash line, creating a more defined, youthful appearance. This procedure can enhance the shape, color, and definition of your eyes, eliminating the need for daily eyeliner application.
We offer both top and bottom eyeliner tattooing, designed to suit your personal style. Whether you want a soft, subtle line or a bit more definition, this procedure provides long-lasting results with minimal maintenance.

Eyeliner Tattooing Techniques
1. Classic Lash Enhancement
Ideal for: Those who want a subtle, natural look with a slight definition that blends seamlessly with the natural lash line.
This technique involves applying pigment right along the lash line to give the illusion of thicker lashes. It’s perfect for those who want a soft, subtle enhancement without a noticeable eyeliner look.
2. Natural Liner
Ideal for: Clients who want a more defined look without going overboard.
A thin, soft line is applied along the top and/or bottom lash lines, offering a clean, defined appearance. This is perfect for those who want definition without a heavy makeup look.
3. Defined Liner
Ideal for: Clients who want a little more definition and structure to their eyeliner, but still desire a natural look that won't age poorly.
This technique creates a slightly thicker line along the lash line, giving the eyes more structure without going too dramatic.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
Consultation & Design
We’ll start with a consultation where we discuss your preferences for your eyeliner style, thickness, and color. We’ll also assess your eye shape to ensure we create a look that complements your natural features.
Numbing:
A topical numbing cream will be applied to the eyelid to ensure maximum comfort during the procedure. While you may still feel some sensation, the numbing will reduce discomfort significantly.
Procedure:
Using a specialized machine, the pigment will be carefully applied to the top and/or bottom lash lines. Depending on your chosen style (classic, natural, or defined), the process will typically take 1.5 to 2 hours. The technician will work meticulously to ensure a smooth, even line.
What We Don’t Do
No Super Dramatic, Thick, or Heavy Wings:
Our goal is to create a look that is timeless and will age beautifully over time. We avoid super dramatic or heavy wings because eyeliner tattoos can last a very long time, and we want to ensure your eyes always look natural and fresh, without feeling dated as trends change. The aim is for subtle elegance, not an overly bold or harsh look.
No Pigment in the Very Corner of the Eye:
We do not apply pigment into the very inner corner of the eye (near the tear duct) to prevent pigment bleeding. Applying pigment too close to this delicate area can result in blobs or smudging of pigment, which would not only look unnatural but could also affect the longevity and crispness of your eyeliner. Instead, we leave a small gap to ensure a clean, precise line without compromising the result.
Before Your Eyeliner Appointment
To ensure the best results, please follow these pre-appointment guidelines:
Avoid Eye Makeup:
On the day of your appointment, please arrive with clean eyes, free of makeup. This ensures the area is prepped and ready for the tattooing process.
Avoid Blood Thinners:
Refrain from taking any aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications for 48 hours before your appointment to reduce bleeding and ensure better pigment retention.
No Lash Extensions or False Lashes:
If you wear eyelash extensions or false lashes, please remove them at least 2 days before your appointment. This ensures that we can access your lash line properly.
Avoid Excessive Sun Exposure or Tanning:
Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure for at least 1 week before your procedure to avoid irritation.
Do Not Have Any Eyelid or Eye Infections:
Ensure you are free of any eye infections, styes, or irritations before your appointment.
Aftercare for Eyeliner Tattooing
Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the best results and promote healing. Here are your essential aftercare guidelines:
Keep the Area Clean:
Gently cleanse the treated area with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean tissue. Avoid rubbing the area.
Avoid Touching or Scratching:
Do not touch or scratch the tattooed area during the healing process to avoid infection or pigment displacement.
Moisturize with Aftercare Ointment:
Apply the healing balm or ointment provided by us after each cleansing to keep the area moisturized. This helps with healing and prevents scabbing.
No Makeup on Eyes:
Refrain from applying eye makeup (mascara, eyeliner, etc.) to the treated area for 7-10 days. Avoid wearing mascara or eyeliner until the healing process is complete.
Avoid Sun Exposure & Tanning:
For the first 2-4 weeks, avoid exposing your eyeliner to direct sunlight or tanning beds to ensure optimal healing and pigment retention.
Avoid Swimming or Saunas:
Do not swim, use hot tubs, or go to saunas during the healing period (about 2 weeks) to avoid irritation or infection.
No Rubbing or Scrubbing:
Avoid rubbing your eyes or using harsh facial scrubs on the area during the healing process to prevent damage to the pigment.
Be Aware of Peeling:
Your eyeliner tattoo will likely begin to peel and flake within a few days. Do not pick or scratch the scabs, as this can affect the final result.
Healing & Touch-Up
Healing Time:
Healing generally takes about 7-10 days, with full pigment settling taking 4-6 weeks. During this time, your eyeliner may look darker than the final result. This is completely normal!Touch-Up:
A touch-up is recommended 6-8 weeks after your initial session to perfect the shape, color, and intensity of your eyeliner. This is included in the cost of your initial session.
